安倍首相は、2014年1月25日(月)午前、羽田空港から政府専用機でインドに向けて出発しました。
首相としては、2007年8月に続き、2度目の訪印となります。
前回の訪印では、インド国会において
｢二つの海の交わり｣(Confluence of the Two Seas)と題する演説を行い、高い評価を得ました。
25日、両首脳会談後に、政治･安全保障、経済･経済協力、人的交流･学術交流等に関する
｢日インド戦略的グローバル･パートナーシップの強化｣とする共同声明署名式及び共同記者発表を行っています。
26日には、日本の首相として初めて主賓として招待された共和国記念パレードを、ムカジー大統領、シン首相と共に観閲しました。
27日(月)、シン首相との首脳会談をはじめとする一連の行事を終え、帰国しました。
