Sophia Institute of International Relations will be holding a pubic lecture on “Japan's Relationship with India--Key Challenges and Opportunities”.

■Speaker: Ambassador Aftab Seth
Dr. Aftab Seth is former Ambassador of India to Japan (2000-03). In the 1960s, he spent a year at Keio University, studying Japanese language and history, before joining the Indian Foreign Ministry in 1968. After completing his term as Ambassador to Japan, Dr. Seth has served in various positions, including as the Director of Global Security Research Institute at Keio (2004-06) and as the Chairman of Japan India Partnership Forum. He is currently the Chairman and CEO of India Global Link Co. He is the author of three books, including If an Elephant Loses Weight, It is Still an Elephant (象は痩せても象である―インドから見た巨象・日本の底力).
