Notice Regarding VCC Student Registration/Events

Posted May 29, 2020

Dear Friends of the Embassy,

We would first like to express our heartfelt sympathies to all those affected by the Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.

In light of the ongoing efforts to prevent the further spread of the Coronavirus, and taking into consideration the safety of all visitors to the Embassy, we would like to inform you that, regrettably, we will not be conducting new student registrations for cultural courses at Vivekananda Cultural Centre for the coming July – December 2020 semester. Student registrations are usually conducted on a first come, first served basis on the premises. However, considering the potential number of prospective students who may come to the Embassy for registrations based on past figures, it was deemed that it may not be possible to guarantee an appropriate degree of social distancing if such registrations are conducted in the same manner.

Additionally, all events at VCC including cultural programmes and seminars will be on hold for the time being. We are currently working to resume regular operations as soon as possible, and will keep you updated about developments in this regard.

We would like to offer our sincere apologies to all those who were looking forward to joining classes or participating in events at VCC for any inconvenience caused by these measures, and humbly request your kind understanding.

We hope that this difficult situation will come to an end as early as possible, and look forward to seeing you at VCC in the future.
